AGROS NOVA makes every possible effort in order to eliminate
potential threats to the natural environment which could
result from our production activities. We strive to be
environmentally friendly and are dedicated to the idea
of corporate citizenship.
We are pursuing activities leading to the protection
of natural resources; particularly water, energy, soil
and air.
We have all the current permits, agreements and decisions
required by environmental laws. We calculate and pay
fees on the use of the environment.
Our endeavours to protect natural resources include the
maximum limitation of water consumption. We have excellent
water from underground wells - from deep water-bearing
layers. Our water fulfils the criteria for natural spring
water, rich in mineral elements such as calcium and magnesium.
It arouses no reservations in a bacteriological sense
either. With such pure water at our disposal, we make
sure none of it is wasted.
In line with the principle of "clean production" we
eliminate, where possible, part of the pollutants in
sanitary and industrial waste waters at their source.
The protection of soil and water is achieved also through
proper solid waste management. We have introduced a waste
sorting system at the source of its production. Different
types of waste undergo utilization, recycling and serve
commercial uses. Only the waste that does not lend itself
to sorting and some housekeeping waste is directed to
dumping grounds.
With regard to air protection, we have modern air-tight
installations that limit to a minimum any sort of unorganized
emissions. In order to further improve our gas emissions,
we invested in a switch of heating system from coal to
natural gas in another of our factories in 2004. At present
two out of three of our plants have a gas heating system.
Our plants do not transgress the permitted emission levels
of gas and dust into the atmosphere. They are safe for
people and the environment. This opinion is confirmed
by the controls of authorised institutions.
However, things are never so good, that they could not
be better, we are therefore continually improving ongoing
pro-environmental systems and activities in Agros Nova.
